Privacy policy
Effective date: September 8, 2026
This privacy policy explains how Balancrix Inc. ("Balancrix", "we", "us"), an Oregon corporation with offices at 4715 Hawthorne Terrace, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97214, collects, uses and protects personal information through the balancrix.bond website and our planning services. It applies to website visitors, prospective clients, and clients of our services. By using the website or our services, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide a planning service, and we collect it in three ways.
Information you provide. When you use the contact form, book a session, or write to us, we collect identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, and the contents of your message. During planning sessions, your planner keeps confidential notes about your situation — your income, expenses, goals and plan — because that context is what makes future sessions useful. If you pay for a service, our payment processor collects the billing information needed to complete the transaction; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit balancrix.bond, our hosting provider and privacy-respecting analytics record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited and the date and time of visits. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure.
Information from others. If a family member or business partner books a session that involves you, they may provide your name and contact details with your knowledge. We use that information only to arrange the session you are part of.
How we use information
We use personal information for these purposes: to respond to inquiries and book sessions; to deliver our planning services, including preparing written plans; to manage memberships, billing and scheduling; to send service messages such as confirmations, reminders and invoices; to send occasional updates about our services where permitted by law, with an unsubscribe option in every message; to detect and prevent fraud or abuse; to improve our website through aggregated analytics; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not share client planning details with anyone outside Balancrix except as needed to deliver our services or as required by law.

Sharing and service providers
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run our business — for example, our scheduling system, email delivery and payment processor — under contracts that prohibit them from using the data for their own purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets, in which case we will require the buyer to honor this policy. We never sell or rent personal information.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act give you rights over your personal information, subject to exceptions. You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, deletion of personal information we have collected, correction of inaccurate information, and limits on the use of sensitive personal information where applicable. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information, so no action is needed — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected] or write to Balancrix Inc., 4715 Hawthorne Terrace, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97214, Attention: Privacy. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of authorization.
Do Not Track and CalOPPA
Our website does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no uniform industry standard for such signals has been adopted. In line with CalOPPA, we publish this policy, disclose our data practices, and provide a clear way to contact us with privacy questions. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the effective date above and, where appropriate, announced by email.
Children
Balancrix services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Cookies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies as described in the cookie policy, which you can control through your browser.
Confidentiality of sessions
Planning sessions are confidential. Your planner keeps notes only to serve you, session recordings happen only at your request, and we do not share what you tell us with anyone outside the team that serves you. The main exception is the legal one: we may disclose information if required by law.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. Client planning records are kept while your relationship with us is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return, after which they are deleted. Website analytics are kept in aggregate. We protect information with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access to client records, and confidential handling agreements with our team.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will revise the effective date and notify clients by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the website or services after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
