Our services

Balancrix is a planning service, which means everything we offer is delivered by people: real sessions, real conversations, and a written plan you keep. We deliberately keep the menu small so that every service is something we can deliver well. Here is what we offer and what each service includes.

Services at a glance

Intro session

A relaxed 45-minute conversation to understand your income, costs and goals. You leave with clear notes and an honest recommendation for your next step. No obligation.

Personal budget plan

A one-on-one planning session followed by a written, plain-English budget plan built from your real numbers, plus a worksheet kit to keep it current.

Monthly membership

Ongoing support: a monthly session to review and refresh your plan, plus gentle check-ins between sessions so small changes never snowball.

Family planning

Sessions for couples and families to agree on shared categories, combined goals and a system both partners actually like using.

Business budget plan

An operating budget for your small business: clear categories, a plan for owner pay, seasonal planning and a reserve, built with you and your team.

Quarterly business review

A scheduled review every quarter to compare your business plan with reality and adjust before small gaps become big surprises.

The personal planning track

The personal track starts with an intro session, then moves into a personal budget plan for most clients. Your planner prepares nothing before the first call except a good set of questions, because the plan has to come from your situation, not from a script. During the planning session you will talk through your regular income, your fixed costs, the categories where spending is flexible, and the goals you are planning toward.

Within a few days you receive your written budget plan: a simple document that states your income, your planned categories and amounts, and a one-page summary you could pin to the fridge. It arrives with the Balancrix worksheet kit — a small set of plain worksheets for tracking your spending month by month, no special skills required. A short follow-up session makes sure the plan reads correctly and feels achievable.

The membership

Most budgets fail not because the plan was wrong, but because life changed and nobody updated the plan. The monthly membership exists for that reason. Each month you have a 45-minute session with your planner to review what happened, update the plan for any changes in income or costs, and set the focus for the coming month. Between sessions, your planner sends a brief check-in — a question or a nudge, never a lecture. Members tell us the check-ins are the part they would keep even if everything else changed.

The business track

The business track is built for owners and their teams. A business budget plan engagement usually runs over two sessions: the first with the owner to understand the business model, the second with the team to agree on department plans and responsibilities. You receive a written operating plan with clear categories, an owner-pay line that is decided on purpose rather than by accident, guidance on seasonal swings, and a target reserve for slower months. The quarterly business review keeps the plan alive through the year.

Workshops for teams

For small companies that want to build budgeting skill inside their own team, we offer a half-day budget basics workshop, delivered on-site in the Portland area or by video session elsewhere. The workshop covers the same method we use with clients — clarify, capture, categorize, commit, check — and leaves your team with a working draft of next year's plan rather than just notes.

What every service includes

Every paid service includes the same baseline: sessions with a named planner (never a rotating queue), a written plan or summary you keep, plain language throughout, and our 14-day guarantee described in the refund policy. Sessions are available by secure video call across the United States, and in person in Portland, Oregon, when schedules allow.

The boundaries we hold

Because Balancrix is a planning service and not a financial firm, we hold clear boundaries. We do not invest money, manage accounts, prepare taxes, provide legal opinions, settle debts or repair credit. We help you build and maintain a budget. When a question crosses into territory that needs a licensed professional, we will tell you directly and, where we can, help you think about what to ask them. Our full position is written in the important disclaimer.

Booking

You can book an intro session through the contact page, by phone at +1 (503) 555-0174, or by writing to [email protected]. We answer every inquiry within one business day, and sessions are available Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
